Yesterday it came to our attention that our favorite cyclist Lance Armstrong was going to be stripped of all 7 of his Tour De France titles because he has been brought up on charges of doping. He came out and said that he would no longer fight the charges against him. One of the charges claimed that he doped and was one of the ringleaders of systematic doping on his Tour-winning teams. Lance said that he was no longer going against the charges because the fight was taking a toll on him, and his family. He said it was taking away from the work of his cancer foundation, and he was ‘finished with the nonsense’. This means that he will lose all of his awards, all of his Tour titles, his 2000 Olympics Bronze medal, and awards and money that he has won from August 1998 until now. It also means he will be barred for life from competing, coaching or having any official role with any Olympic sport or other sport that follows the World Anti-Doping Code.
