A Chicago teenager was killed days after doing something that most people would dream of. Hadiya Pendleton,  was gunned down in a Chicago park just days after her school band performed in the Inaugural parade. The young lady was an honors student, volleyball player, and majorette at King College Prep. Pendleton along with another teenage boy was shot, when the two of them and a group of teens took shelter in the park’s canopy and the gunman jumped the park’s fence and opened fire. The young man is currently in critical condition. This news comes on the day when CongressWoman Gabrielle Giffords makes her appearance before Congress to beg them for tougher Gun Control Laws. Giffords is still recovering from a gunshot to the head, that she suffered while making an appearance at an Arizona rally.
