Today we listen to A LOT of pop and call it R&B. And some of it we don’t mind because it’s good ‘pop’. But I think we’re seeing a resurgence of GOOD singers and songwriters. Mateo released a new mixtape called Suite 823, and it does NOT disappoint. It’s cut like an EP, being only 9 songs long. This short song list leaves you to wonder if there is an album to come, because the music is just that good. From ‘Say You Will’ to ‘Blue Jeans’. There is no need to major features on this tape. He has appearances from Stacy Barthe and AToZeke, and THAT’S IT. Other than that, Mateo gives you GREAT music.
