Michael Phelps Makes History!

Today, the American Olympic simmer made world history, becoming the most decorated Olympian in history. He now has a count of NINETEEN medals. Some say that today’s performance was making up for yesterday’s performance. Today he received the gold swimming the anchor leg for the United States in a gold medal-winning performance of the 4×200-meter freestyle relay.

Eve On Her Relationship with Stevie J

Now we know our favorite villian on televion right now is Stevie J. And I think people sort of forgot that about a decade ago, he was a in a VERY public relationship with then hip hop front runner EVE. Recently, she hosted an event with  some high school girls, where she talked about her relationship with him.

On if Stevie J was her first love: 
Yes, Stevie J was my first love.

On how she defines the ‘love’ between her and Stevie back then
You know what…that was a learning experience. You meet people all the time. We just happen to fall in love. Umm, but thankfully I knew better, I know better, I am happily in love now. And the girl now (referring to herself) he couldn’t even see this. I would be like, “I’m sorry, we don’t speak the same language!” But you know, it is what it is….that’s life. Sometimes you meet people who aren’t great for you but thankfully I am in a different place.

On things she would not put up with now that she is older and knows better
When I was younger I didn’t question things but now I am annoying! Like if something doesn’t feel right speak up! If you feel like you are being lied to speak up! If you feel like Sexually he is trying to push you to fast speak up. And let me tell you something. Anybody that knows your worth it will stick around. They might not talk to you about it, they may talk to you about it but if they argue with you or if they call you a name or if they roll out they are not meant to be in your life anyways….

Kimberly Locke Wants to Judge American Idol

Former American Idol runner up Kimberly Locke wants to take a chair as a judge on the show. There seems to be a revolving door going on with the group. After Simon and Paula left, Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler came in. Now that they’re left, wee hear that Mariah Carey is coming in for a whopping $17 Million. NOW the former contestant wants a shot at the shot. It would make sense, since she knows what they’re looking for and been in the contestants place before.

They Paid Paul WHAT???

We know who Sir Paul McCarntney is. The Beatles Front man has been a rockstar for more than half a century (sounds so old when you say it like that). However, to do the Olympic Opening Ceremony, he was only paid ONE POUND ($1.57). He and the others that participated in the opening ceremonies essentially volunteered ALL OF THAT TIME, rehearsing, fittings all that, and only got paid $1.57. They were paid this to pretty much make the contracts that they sound binding…. Let’s see if those participating in the closing ceremonies get paid the same….

I’m really trying to like her, but I feel like she’s over compensating for the fact that she’s pale in a brown game. I would NEVER take away from the fact that she’s a beautiful girl. But when she opens her mouth, you might be a little confused. I believe I heard someone call it the ‘slave/slave master’ thing. The beats on Glory are DOPE. This 6 song EP is lace with at least FIVE features. One being her boss T.I., another being her label mate B.o.B. She also has Bruno Mars and Pusha T. There are two young ladies singing hooks, but they aren’t named. I feel like all Iggy has to do is relax the gimmick, and let her rapping speak for her, and she will be a problem. But until then, she’s just ok…. (The cover art is dope tho)

Tennessee Titan’s WR OJ Murdock Dead

Tennessee Titans Wide Receiver OJ Murdock was found shot with self inflicted gun shot wounds. He was transported to a Tampa area hospital and he was reported dead at 10:43am this morning.  Police responded to phone calls about gun shots around his old high school, Middleton High School. And that’s where he was found. In a car outside of the school shot.

“His family is aware of the details and we are working with them to determine the reasons (for the apparent suicide),” officer Irene Thomas told FOXSports.com.

Don’t Mess With @Oprah!

This all happened last night. Someone else asked about her helping women, and of course she mentioned her school…. But why ask Oprah these questions? There are a few others that could use this line of interrogation. (unfortunately, she caught the CB syndrome and deleted the tweets. But BABYYYYYYY she better go!)

Drake: The First to Rap & Sing??

Over the weekend, twitter was all abuzz when Drake, the bottle slinging YMCMB rapper said that he was the only artist to successfully merge rapping and singing. Now growing up in the musical capital of the country, you would think he would know his hip hop history. Apparently, he’s never heard a Fugees album or Lauryn Hill either. Here are some spots from his The Jewish Chronicles interview:

On what separates him from other artists:
There were people who incorporated melody before me but I would deem myself the first person to successfully rap and sing…

On Drake as an artist
It’s not a gimmick. I just sort of exist and people embrace it. I’m one of the few artists who gets to be himself every day. It doesn’t take me six hours to get ready and I don’t have to wake up in the morning and remember to act like this or talk like this. I just have to be me. That’s one of the favorite parts of my life – I’ve done this purely by being myself.”

On his emotional Marvin’s Room lyrics:
That’s me asking, ‘Do I need to get a grip on my life?’. I have friends who are in committed relationships and spend all their time focused on one woman and I’m behaving like that! You start questioning your own morals. I’m 25 and single. I’m not supposed to care about deeper things right now, I’m supposed to be wild. But there are nights when you sit back and wonder, ‘Damn, is this right?’

On his relationship with his family since becoming famous:
That’s one of the things that plagues my mind. My relationship with my family. Am I talking to my mother enough? That kind of thing. Asking myself: ‘Are you changing? Are you a different person?’ Those are my issues now. If I wasn’t famous I don’t think those would be my issues at all. They would be: how am I going to support myself? I wouldn’t be able to get any girl that I wanted. I wouldn’t be travelling the world and I wouldn’t be showered with all this affection.

On whether or not he’s satisfied with where he is now in his career: 
I’m always looking for something else. I’m always looking for what’s beyond this point. Not to sound depressing or anything, but I don’t just tell myself: ‘Oh, everything’s all good, man’. Life is good. But I’m not naive. Nothing is all good.

Zimmerman’s BFF Arrested

Frank Taaffe, who’ve probably seen on many occasions speaking on behalf of  George Zimmerman, has been arrested and charged with a DUI on Friday, and let out on bond ($500), on Saturday. He told authorities that he mixed alcohol with anxiety meds, which made the effects of both worse. He ‘didn’t read the warning labels’… But who doesn’t know that meds aren’t supposed to mix with liquor?

All the people are George seem to be doing all the wrong things. His wife was charged with perjury as well, after they lied about their finances. Hopefully they get their stuff together.
