#SOTUS (State of the United State)

Ok so, we all know that it’s an election year. The GOP debates/campaigning hasn’t really been about the issues, but more so about bashing one another. And a lot of them have spent some time bashing and disrespecting our President. One, the Kansas speaker of the House sent out an email to his Republican colleagues asking them to join in praying the Psalms 109 prayer for him. Now this is a prayer or vengeance and death.

Verses 8 & 9

‘May his days be few; may another take his place of leadership.

May his children be fatherless and his wife a widow’

I don’t see how things like this can be accepted by anyone, especially in disrespecting the President. The State of Georgia is in proceedings, because they don’t want his name on the ballot. They are STILL trying to challenge his citizenship. If they paid attention during the last election, it was proven that he’s a citizen. The last time I checked, Honolulu, Hawaii was apart of the United States. This is CLEARLY just another way to deter the man from getting his job done. The state of the this country she be far more progressed in 2012. It’s a shame that it’s not.

Love & Basketball

SOOOOOO, DWad3 is my fav basketball player, and we ALL know that his and Gabrielle Union have been together for a while, BUT this February, the two will don the cover of Essence magazine and their spread will finally talk about their relationship….. I don’t know about you, but I’m just a lil excited about this.

First and foremost, shout out to Pittsburgh Head Coach Mike Tomlin. He made an easy choice, that kept the health of one of his players in tact. Pittsburgh Steelers Safety Ryan Clark, has the sickle cell trait, which cause problems when in low-oxygen, high altitude conditions. This coming Sunday, the Steelers will be in Denver playing their first playoff game, and Coach Tomlin has made the decision to bench Ryan for this game, to protect his safety’s safety. The last time he played a game in Denver, was in 2007. And that game caused him to lose his spleen, gallbladder, 30 pounds, and he could not play for the rest of the season.

 

“I met with him and informed him I am not going to allow him to play in the game,” Tomlin said. “It was an easy decision for us. When looking at all of our data we came to the determination he is at more risk so we are not going to play him. It’s that simple.”

Coach Tomlin definitely made the right decision. Shout out to him again!

2012: The Year of Silence

Everyone who knows me, knows that I am a Chris Brown fan, always have bee, always will be. I remember when his first came out when I was in high school. I left school to get and made sure I was back at school before Basketball practice started, and knew all the words the next day. It’s been a great union since then. I’m more than happy to see him back and making music after all that he’s been through. However, it’s come to our attention, that we won’t be hearing much else but music from Mr. Brown this year. I honestly can’t say that I blame him. After the last three years of being badgered about something he apologized and paid for, I don’t blame him at all. This is also the first year he will return to the Grammy Awards, with three nominations, and a possible performance. Definitely something for his fans to look forward to.

Finally!

In this second season of Love & Hip Hop some would be tired of hearing Chrissy rant on and on about Jim doing the right thing. Chrissy proposed first, and then what?… She had him talk to her uncle, and maybe that did it. BUT if you missed it, last night, Jim proposed to Chrissy. She went to Miami with Emily, Olivia and T. Marie. But surprise surprise, here comes Jim….

I really like them together. I’m glad that they are moving forward.
